Flex Update 10/26

Effective October 26, students will need a pass initiated by a teacher before leaving their assigned Flex classroom. If a student has not received a pass from another teacher, they should plan to remain in their assigned Flex classroom for the duration of the 30 minute period.

To help ensure consistency and appropriate supervision, students may no longer initiate their own passes to visit another teacher or location during Flex. All requests to report elsewhere must be initiated by the receiving teacher.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we implement this adjustment. These procedures are designed to help us maintain appropriate supervision, ensure students are in their assigned locations, and make the most of our Flex time to support student learning and success.

At certain times during the school day, and at the discretion of the teacher, students may be permitted to listen to music on their district-issued Chromebook. Students must use corded headphones or earbuds that plug directly into the Chromebook. Wireless headphones and earbuds will not be permitted.

Third-Party Food Service Providers

Reminder: SHRHS prohibits the use of third-party food service delivery services during the school day to ensure the safety & well being of students and staff. Any student found using such services will face disciplinary action in accordance with the school's code of conduct, and the food will be confiscated.

Be on Time

As a reminder, students are expected to arrive on time and be in their first-session classes by 7:55 a.m. Students who arrive late will be marked tardy and may be subject to the appropriate disciplinary consequences, as well as the potential loss of credit for their first-session class.

Your partnership in helping ensure that students are in school and in class on time is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.
