Annual Camp Fairview Trip

Fifteen high school counselors led South Hunterdon 5th graders through an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, teamwork, and plenty of fun at Camp Fairview! Students took on a variety of activities that encouraged them to work together, try new things, and support one another along the way.

Ridge Hike

One of the day’s biggest challenges was the Ridge hike. Students encouraged each other as they made their way along the trail, demonstrating determination, cooperation, and great teamwork. Reaching the top was well worth the effort, as everyone was able to take in the beautiful scenery and celebrate their accomplishment together.

Campfire with Classmates

Throughout the trip, students also learned how weather conditions can impact outdoor activities and practiced important survival skills. These hands-on experiences helped reinforce the importance of being prepared, staying safe, and working together when exploring the outdoors.

The day ended with one of everyone’s favorite activities—gathering around the campfire! Students sang songs, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed spending time together. It was a wonderful experience that gave counselors and younger students the opportunity to learn, challenge themselves, and make lasting memories with their classmates!
