Welcome to the Nest, Ms. Grube & Pancake!

Pancake and Ms. Grube are feeling very welcome at South Hunterdon. Ms. Grube is entering her first year at South Hunterdon as the Middle and High School Agriculture Teacher. She has taught agriculture for three years and loves sharing everything she can about it with students. She is very pleased to be able to bring Pancake in to visit the middle and high school kids.

Pancake loves to climb, eat his fruits and veggies, and meet all of Ms. Grube's amazing students! They both look forward to a great year at South Hunterdon, and will be utilizing and enjoying the new greenhouse at the high school.

New Studio Space

Students asked and South delivered! Mr. Hallinan's podcasting classes provide students with the chance to develop their voice and share their opinions on a wide variety of topics. As the program has grown over the past few years, students have been shuffling around school to find an appropriate and quiet place to record their shows. With the addition of two functional, soundproof rooms including comfortable seating and a permanent recording setup, students can now put their energy into writing, producing and creating their podcasts.

College Visits

The South Hunterdon Regional High School Counseling Department is excited to offer several college visit opportunities throughout the school year. These trips give students the chance to visit campuses, learn more about different colleges, and explore their postsecondary options.

Upcoming College Visits

Villanova University - October 6
West Chester University - October 27
Ramapo College - November 12

Each trip has a limited number of seats and is open to eligible students. Students must be passing all classes (C- or above) and be in good standing with attendance and discipline. College visits are excused absences, but students are responsible for completing any missed work.

A completed permission slip must be submitted to the Counseling Office at least one week before the trip in order to be considered for participation. Students will receive confirmation from the Counseling Office if they meet the requirements to attend. Please speak with your counselor if you have any questions.

Colleges and Universities will also be visiting South Hunterdon, giving students an opportunity to learn more about them without having to leave school. Here are the upcoming dates:

Tuesday, September 29:  Rider during Lunch, Moravian during Flex
Wednesday, September 30:  Monmouth University during Flex
Thursday, October 1:  Gwynedd Mercy College during Flex
Friday, October 2:  Fairleigh Dickinson during Flex
