First Annual Drama & Performing Arts Conference

The cast and stage managers of South Hunterdon Regional High School’s production of Into the Woods proudly represented their program at Music Mountain Theatre’s First Annual Drama and Performing Arts Conference on March 20, 2026. Joining schools from across Hunterdon and Bucks Counties, students spent the day immersed in theatre—competing, performing, and participating in a variety of workshops designed to strengthen their craft.

South Hunterdon made an outstanding impression, earning the Best Ensemble Award for their performance. Individual students were also recognized for their exceptional talents: McKenna Healy received Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Cinderella, while Dylan Matz and Grace Horvath were honored with Special Judges Awards for Storytelling. Judges also honored Zin Kassel  recognized for Acting Through Song, and senior Madison Groves  named an All-Star Performer from the Into the Woods cast.

This incredible showing is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and artistry of both the performers, stage managers, and directors Laura Di Staulo, Jocelyn Alam and assistant, Taylor LaBau, and Technical Director Katie Flynn whose hard work continues to bring South Hunterdon’s theatre program to life.

A blood drive is underway with donors reclining in chairs while medical staff attend to them.

Our March blood drive was a success! With 36 appointments and 33 donations collected—including 31 pints of whole blood and 2 double red cell donations—our students and community truly showed up.

Special thanks to our 31 student donors and 5 community members for stepping up and giving back in a life-saving way. Our school community truly made a difference in the lives of others. It's special moments like these that make South Hunterdon stand out for its kindness and care.

Day of Silence

The SHR GSA participated in the National Day of Silence on Friday, April 10th. Day of Silence participants pledge to stay silent in order to highlight the silencing effect of anti-LGBTQ+ bullying and harassment in schools. Their goal is to remain silent from the 2nd morning bell until we gather at the end of the day to "break the silence" together.

A Day Exploring Higher Education

Before spring break, sophomores and juniors were able to visit with over 80 colleges and universities right at South Hunterdon. College representatives shared more about the opportunities their schools have to offer while students browsed and roamed throughout the room, learning about potential future pathways and imagining how pursuing a higher education could further benefit their future goals.

Special thank you to the South Hunterdon counseling department for arranging this massive event and always supporting students to pursue avenues of success.
