Celebrating our 250th Anniversary

Two men stand in front of a banner with "SOUTH HUNTINGDON" and eagle logos, one holding a booklet titled "Lambertville During the American Revolution."

Commemorating the nation's 250th anniversary, Tom Ogren authored "Lambertville During the American Revolution," which details important events, sites and patriots in our area during the birth of the United States. Today Tom presented to South Hunterdon Regional High School Principal Adam Wright free booklets for every student, which was funded in part by a Rev250 Grant from the NJ State Library and a Hunterdon County History Partnership Program (CHPP) grant.

NJGPA Testing

The New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA) will be administered to all 11th grade students on March 16, 18, 19, and 20. We will be following a delayed opening schedule for grades 9, 10, & 12 on those days.

The NJGPA is a state-required assessment designed to measure student proficiency in English Language Arts and Mathematics and to ensure that students demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary for high school graduation. The assessment aligns with New Jersey Student Learning Standards and serves as one of the pathways students may use to meet the state’s graduation requirements, while also providing schools with important information to support student learning and progress.

The SAT at SHRHS 3/14/26

The SAT is accepted at all U.S. colleges; it measures what students are learning in high school and what they need to know to succeed in college and career. We’re pleased to offer the SAT at South Hunterdon on three Saturdays this year.

Be on Time

As a reminder, students are expected to arrive on time and be in their first-session classes by 7:55 a.m. Students who arrive late will be marked tardy and may be subject to the appropriate disciplinary consequences, as well as the potential loss of credit for their first-session class. Please keep in mind that disciplinary consequences are not implemented until a student reaches their seventh unexcused tardy, with a warning issued after the sixth to ensure families and students are aware before any further action is taken.

Your partnership in helping ensure that students are in school and in class on time is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.

Student Parking

Please be aware that due to limited parking availability & longstanding practice, parking on school grounds is reserved for Seniors. As a result, Juniors are not typically permitted to park on campus.

That said, we understand that unique situations may arise. If a Junior in good standing has extenuating circumstances that create a genuine need for on-campus parking, we encourage them to reach out to SHRHS Administration to discuss their situation.

We appreciate your understanding & cooperation as we work to ensure fair & safe access to parking for our students.

Cell Phone Protocols

Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, we ask that students place their cell phones in the designated classroom holder as soon as they enter the room. Each teacher will assign a specific numbered spot for their class. Please note that cell phones should remain in the holder for the duration of the period and should not be taken out until the class has ended.

Late Bus

As a reminder, please remember to sign up for the late bus during your lunch period. Signing up later in the day creates scheduling challenges and may result in your name not being added to the list.

Thank you
