Music with a Mission Concert

Students in the SHR HS Band & Chorus performed a concert on October 29th with the goal of collecting donations for the Fisherman’s Mark FLY (Feeding Lambertville Youth) Program. The night was filled with great music and resulted in a big pile of donations for pick-up.

October Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to October Athlete of the Month Isabella Woronicz and her field hockey teammates on an incredible season. The Eagles beat Bordentown to advance to the second round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group I Tournament, then lost to Gloucester to close out their year. We caught up with Isabella to learn more about her experience as a South Hunterdon student-athlete.

Q: How does it feel to be recognized for your hard work both on and off the field?

IW: It feels great to be recognized, but I work hard for the success of the team rather than for the recognition itself. Seeing our team grow and achieve together is the most rewarding part.

Q: How do you enjoy most about your experience playing field hockey?

IW: I love being a part of a team that pushes each other to be our best.  We pick each other up if someone is having an off day and a really positive atmosphere, and I'm more than happy to be a part of it.

Q: What motivates you to succeed as a South Hunterdon student-athlete?

IW: My passion for field hockey drives me every day, and knowing that this is my final year at South wants me to give everything I have to my team and make the most of every moment on that field. I will do whatever I can to make sure that this season lasts as long as it possibly can be, because I'll miss this next year.
