Welcome Back

The first week of the school year at South Hunterdon Regional High School was truly wonderful! The building was filled with excitement as students and staff came together to begin a new year of learning, growth, and connection. It was inspiring to see our students settle into their routines, engage with their teachers, and already begin building the positive momentum that will carry us through the year. The week set a strong and uplifting tone, and we are looking forward to all that lies ahead.

New for 2025-2026

We’re excited to introduce something new for the 2025–2026 school year! Juniors and Seniors will now be eligible to be nominated for Student of the Month, while Junior and Senior athletes will have the opportunity to be nominated by their coaches for Athlete of the Month.

The posters below are the designs we’ll be using. Each student recognized with this honor will receive their own copy to take home, and another will be proudly displayed in the school halls throughout the year.

Please note that the posters shown here are sample mock-ups and do not feature actual SHRHS students.

For Student of the month, the qualities we are looking to celebrate are:
  • Positive Attitude
  • Academic Effort
  • Leadership
  • Respect & Responsibility
  • Community Involvement

Staff Member of the Month 9/25
We are excited to begin a new tradition at South Hunterdon Regional High School: recognizing a Staff Member of the Month. This initiative celebrates the hard work, dedication, and positive impact our staff bring to our school community each day. By highlighting these contributions, we not only show appreciation but also strengthen our culture of support, gratitude, and excellence.

Back to School Night 9/16 7pm

We look forward to seeing all of you on Tuesday, September 16th at 7:00 pm.

Parents will follow their child’s “Modified” schedule based on the times provided below. Sessions are designed to be whole-group and not individual conferences, as time does not permit for one-on-one meetings.

PTO Membership Information

We are excited to kick off another fantastic year at South Hunterdon! While the landscape of education continues to evolve, the mission and passion of the South Hunterdon Regional School District Parent-Teacher Organization (SHRSD PTO) remain as strong as ever. As we roll into the 2025–2026 school year, the PTO is committed to supporting our students, families, and staff in both meaningful and fun ways.
The SHRSD PTO is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable, federally recognized tax-exempt organization, made up entirely of parent and teacher volunteers. We rely on the active participation of our community, and we welcome all parents to join us!

The mission of the South Hunterdon Regional School District PTO is to cultivate community within our distinctive and inclusive district. We strive to facilitate communication and collaboration between faculty, parents and students. We will pursue creative and mindful opportunities to complement the school curriculum offerings through annual fundraising and FUN-raising events. Our goal is to support new and innovative programming to provide for the academic, social and emotional growth of our students.
We will continue to use Membership Toolkit as our platform for communication, event coordination, accounting, student directories, and more.

Student Parking

Please be aware that, due to limited parking availability and longstanding practice, parking on school grounds is reserved for Seniors. As a result, Juniors are not typically permitted to park on campus.

That said, we understand that unique situations may arise. If a Junior in good standing has extenuating circumstances that create a genuine need for on-campus parking, we encourage them to reach out to the SHRHS Administration to discuss their situation.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure fair and safe access to parking for our students.
