A Night of 1,000 Lights

South Hunterdon celebrated this year's Prom, "A Night of 1,000 Lights" in style at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club in Whitehouse. Aaron Parisi & Olivia Nemeth were named Senior Prom King & Queen and Connor Keyes & Anika Balog were crowned Junior Prom King & Queen. The Eagles dined and dance, and it was a night to remember!

Key Club Trip to Safe Harbor

On Friday, May 23, 2025, 15 Key Club members took a trip to Safe Harbor in Flemington.  Ms. Carol Dvoor, the director, spoke with the students about the mission of Safe Harbor which is:  Safe Harbor strives to foster emotional healing, provide a safe space to experience positive socialization, and eliminate barriers to basic needs for the Hunterdon County community.  Students helped by moving supplies to the attic, cleaning the attic, weeding the flower beds and installing solar lights, and organizing the playroom and labelling toy bins with both the English names, Spanish names and pictures of what toys belong in each bin so that the children who visit can more easily put the toys away.  We are hoping to help out at Safe Harbor more next year.

FFA State Convention

Last week a handful of our middle school and high school FFA chapter officers attended the annual New Jersey FFA State Convention at Monmouth University. The theme this year was "Grow Beyond".

We joined over 600 other students, advisors, teachers, and guests from across the state for leadership workshops, team-building, competition events, and inspirational speeches. Additionally, two officers from each chapter served as delegates and voted on statewide FFA changes for the 25-26 school year.

It may have been cold and rainy, but we had fun, met ag students from across the state, and brought back some inspiration to help our South Hunterdon FFA "Grow Beyond" and take our Ag Education to the next level for the upcoming school year!
