Homecoming Dance Tickets are on sale during House and Lunch.


The High School Concert Band will rehearse today during the first half of unit lunch.


Picture retakes will be Friday morning, October 25th. Order forms are available in the Main Office.


An informational dance club meeting will happen on Friday, October 25 during House in H112. See Ms. Noll for more information. 


There will be no Middle School Girls soccer practice today. All players are to take the bus home. 


All high school boys interested in playing high school basketball are to meet in the high school gym on Thursday, October 24th at the start of unit lunch.


Join the SHR Band for a "Live at Liberty Hall Pizza" fundraiser this Thursday, October 24th. Come support your classmates as they perform live music at Liberty Hall Pizza from 6:30-8:00pm


All high school students interested in participating in bowling should meet in Mr. Vorgity's room on 10/29 at 11:00am.


The Yearbook Club will meet after school today in Mr. Chan's room. We also need a photographer for today's Girls Soccer game!


Library’s Halloween Read Aloud is this Friday at Unit Lunch! Spooktacular stories told by guest readers Mrs. Hayes & Willow, Ms. Cox, Senora Douglas, Mrs. Hicks, Mr. Bill, Mr. Giarretta, and Mr. Hall. Students must sign up at the library and check in with House teachers before attending the program. Teachers, please arrange for your house visit with Mrs. Cathcart. Outdoor Ed interviews will be held on Thursday October 24th.


Auditions for Cinderella will take today. There is still time to sign up for tomorrow's sessions!


High school students, tomorrow’s theme for homecoming spirit week is Winners Wednesday. Support your favorite team by wearing jerseys or other sports apparel


We have 2 more college acceptances. Congratulations to Amanda Brewi who has been accepted to the University of Lynchburg, and Justin Guerra who has been accepted to The Citadel.

Today is a B2 day.

 

Ready to kick off the final week of school with some festive spirit? Faculty and students of all ages are invited to take part in this year's Winter Spirit Week sponsored by the Student Ambassadors Club. Today is Red and Green Day; Tuesday is Twinning Tuesday; Wednesday is Ugly Sweater Day; Thursday is South Spirit Donation Day (wear your South gear and bring a canned good to donate); and Friday is Winter Wonderland Day - dress in winter apparel. There will be prizes for the best outfits.

 

Attention Yearbook Club members: we need photographers for Tuesday and Thursday's basketball games! Please contact Mr. Chan if you are available to take pictures.

 

Attention all seniors. All seniors must report to the gym in order to get measured for cap and gowns today during house and unit lunch

 

Attn Juniors: Those students who participated in the Joe Corbi fundraiser should pick up there orders at 2:00 in the auditorium lobby Today!

 

Staff, Faculty & Students: Send a holiday message with a delicious Snowgram! Snowgrams will be on sale outside the cafeteria during both lunches this week. If you know someone who is worth melting for, send them a Snowgram.

 

SHR has a Holiday Mitten Drive to benefit Fisherman's Mark. Please drop off Mittens or cold weather accessories in the box by the Main Office.

 

Attention seniors! Please check your email and submit your senior quote by January 4th! Let Mr. Chan know if you have any questions.

 

We have another community service opportunity, and this one is during the day. See Ms. Laird or Ms. Damron if you would like to sell tickets to Annie during Unit Lunch, Monday through Thursday. Seniors, take this opportunity to get your hours in!

 

Drama club meets Tuesday, Dec.18th. All are welcome. Ms. Damron's room is H103 -- come during House. We will discuss our field trip to a Broadway show and take our yearbook photo, so make sure you attend!

 

Polytech will be here to talk about their programs on Wednesday, Dec. 19, during House. Any sophomore of junior who is interested in attending Polytech next year and wants to learn more about it, contact Ms. Laird for a pass.
