|Student and Family Guide To Collegiate Athletics
On this section of our website you will find many useful
resources that will assist those students who could potentially
participate in collegiate athletics. The links and documents provided
on this page come directly from the NCAA and are to be used as a tool
to assist the student athlete as they move forward. The instructions
and resources are extremely valuable for all grade levels, not just
those close to graduation. If you have any questions please feel free
to contact your guidance counselor or Mr. Miller. Thank You.
Academic core course requirements have INCREASED. For the
Class of 2015 and beyond, D1 students must have a minimum 2.3 core
gpa (increased from 2.0) along with the appropriate SAT/ACT score.
The NEW sliding scale for the SAT/ACT with the GPA requirement has
also been approved.
All of the information needed for prospective college student
athletes can be found in the 2013-2014 Guide for the College Bound
Student Athlete. This document serves as a tremendous resource for
students. Most questions can be answered by researching through this
document or going to the NCAA.(http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/CBSA.pdf )
